A House of Pomegranates (1891) is the title of the second collection of Fairy Tales by Oscar Wilde. He is known to have said that these stories were "intended neither for the British child nor the British public" and he also said that his Fairy Tales were "partly for those who have kept the childlike faculties of wonder and joy, and who find in simplicity a subtle strangeness".
The four Tales that this book contain are: "The Young King"; "The Birthday of the Infanta"; "The Fisherman and his Soul"; and "The Star-Child". The stories are about responsibility, love and doing what is right. ( Noel Badrian)
Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard
IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated). Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!
Genres for the project: Children's Fiction/Myths, Legends & Fairy Tales

Hi,
In reading through the stories, Chapter 3 falls naturally into three sections so I have added another Section to the MW.
Also, Section 2 is ready for pl.

Hi Sarah,
My equipment (or more probably my hearing!) was not acute enough to hear those beeps, so I have re-recorded the sentences before and after. Hopefully that has caught it.
Thanks, Noel
Hello,
I just realised that I made a mistake in the Intro -- Starting with Chapter xx instead of Section xx.
So I have corrected both sections 1 & 2 which may need a spot check.

In both sections 3 and 4, around 0:13-0:18, you say "Chapter 3, The Birthday of the Infanta" (should of course be The Fisherman and His Soul). Otherwise these two are both PL OK.
I've just noticed that the file names are missing _128kb at the end. This is not the end of the world as Anne can fix it during cataloging and she probably will not want you to re-upload just for this, but be aware for next time.
