Thank goodness. Some of his sentences are 5 breaths long. I was so sure I would mess something up, I recorded those paragraphs 2-3 times in a row, as backup.

Thanks, Dave

I've decided against reading the table at the end of chapter 3. It is impossible to make it sound like intelligible narrative, and there is no easy way to inform the listener when I have gone from one row down to the next and that the next row is indented to the right or outdented to the left. I will end this one just before the sentence stating "The following classification...."

Please do read the table. We have a policy of not removing the main text, and this is part of the main text (it's not a footnote, or even a table in a separate figure).

It looks like it would be intelligible if you read it each row. You've got orders, suborders, families - and each row is labeled as to what it is. Lines such as:
Fam. Cetiosauridæ Jurassic and Comanchic.
" Morosauridæ
" Diplodocidæ
where the "Jurassic and Comanchic part refers to all 3 lines, you can read that line for each of the 3 lines. "Family Cetiosauridæ, Jurassic and Comanchic. Family Morosauridæ, Jurassic and Comanchic.
family Diplodocidæ, Jurassic and Comanchic."
Serial novel: The Wandering Jew
Medieval England meets Civil War Americans: Centuries Apart
Humor: My Lady Nicotine

Thanks Dave. If you think THAT chapter is long, take a look at the last chapter. I'll have to do that over several days. The raw file for chapter 4 was over 2 hours long before editing. Some tongue twisters in there. and his writing style requires some long breaths!

I really wish he had used the term "pubic bones" instead of "pubes", as the pronunciation of the latter, according to Merriam-Webster, sounds more like adolescent slang.
