Cases of Conscience Resolved by John Owen (1616 - 1683).

This project is now complete. All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/cases-of-conscience-resolved-by-john-owen/
Questions and answers delivered at church meetings on various subjects, particularly relating to personal holiness, grace and sin, belonging to the genre of Purtian casuistry. (InTheDesert)
Keywords: sin - grace - church - Puritan - casuistry
  1. Text source (only read from this text!): https://archive.org/details/worksofjohnow16owen/page/504/mode/2up
    .
  2. Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard
    .
IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

For the second and all subsequent sections, you may optionally use the shortened form of this intro disclaimer:
    • "Chapter [number] of Cases of Conscience Resolved by John Owen. This LibriVox recording is in the Public Domain."
    • If you wish, say:
"Recording by [your name], [city, your blog, podcast, web address]"

Many thanks!

After realising the length of the chapters, I've reduced the number of sections I need.

Moving to going solo. If the ~ doesn't catch the eye of a DPL, you can post an advert after uploading a couple of sections.

Part 3 is up.

I have reuploaded the first two without the noise gate because I've decided it's distracting. No other changes to the content so if you're happy with the first 30 seconds of both of them then you can ok it.

Sure, I think these do sound fine!
All are PL OK, so carry on in the same vein.

I'll get to Ephesians soon , , ,

Discourse 4 uploaded.

I honestly don't know what he's talking about half the time. The writing is so dense and abstract. I assume that some vents in the background are the great fire of London and the great plague but I'm not certain.

Ah yes, my mistake. Larry will take a listen and assuming all is ok, we'll call it a wrap. I jumped the gun there ...
