Remaining chapters are all uploaded.
It's quite demanding to read, and demanding to listen. This overwrought style I'm sure is an affectation which Eliot took on for the persona of Theophrastus - the run-on sentences, the too-careful qualification, the righteous indignation, the very private assurance in personal values which surely masks a deep diffidence in company - it is all brilliantly portrayed, but certainly a little too much even for audiences who love Eliot for her intellect.

I've re-recorded Chapter 3, my favorite chapter, ans uploaded it as
https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/impressionsoftheophrastussuch_03_eliot.mp3
I'll be home next week, and I should be able to make the suggested edits in other chapters.
I've developed a real fondness for this book and the character Eliot has created.

I've re-uploaded chapters 6, 11, 16 and 17. I think everything is fixed now...
Great! I will catalog this in the morning.
In the mind, or consciousness of the Earth this flower first lay latent as a dream. Perhaps, in her consciousness, it nested as that which in us corresponds to a little thought.--A.Blackwood
Hi Josh,
The summary by Donna Seaman would not be in the public domain. I added the one from Wikipedia. If you would like to write another one or edit it, I can update the project.
Congratulations on completing your first project!
This project is now complete. All audio files can be found on our catalog page:
