Hi Barbara,

Section is 35 is PL OK.

That section with Talleyrand talking about Napoleon’s downfall was stupendous. Your French was crystal clear; I could understand every word!

Yet, from my researches, I gather that our heroine (typically) attended the ball on the Eve of Waterloo - "There was a sound of revelry by night"[Byron] - and visited the field after the battle. I think. Anyway, in the words of Fanny Burney (who liked her), Lucie was "munificent in her attentions to the French wounded".
