Hi Barbara,

Section 10 is PL OK.

Amazing and interesting!

Chapter 10b:

I consulted a map of Versailles so as to follow the flow of events and of the mob. You would have been there? It covers a huge area.

Hi Barbara,

Section 11 is PL OK.

I've never taken the excursion to Versailles.

It was creepy at the end when the whole palace was left in silence.

Your French is excellent, as usual. I understand it very well, so the narrative flows.

Thanks!

Laurie Anne and Pam,

I gave the wrong names to the last three files. I called Sections 10, 11 and 12

recollections_10a_latourdupin_128kb .mp3
recollections_10b_latourdupin_128kb .mp3

recollections_11_latourdupin_128kb.mp3.

I have uploaded them again as

recollections_10_latourdupin_128kb .mp3
recollections_11_latourdupin_128kb .mp3.
recollections_12_latourdupin_128kb .mp3

Laurie Anne, sorry to mess up your folder. I have not been able to change the file names in the MW to the correct name.
I will have to ask for your help again.

Pam, I'll wait till Laurie Anne has fixed the MW for me before asking you to PL Section 12.

Best,

Barbara

Hi Barbara,

I started listening to the Section 12 marked Ready for PL and I am pretty sure think I have listened to it before. Is that possible. I am at 7:51 now.

My best,

You are right, Pam. I did re-upload the files, correctly named this time, but I couldn't get the MW to save the new links. It does now! Perhaps that's what's magic about the Magic Window? Or perhaps it was just my lack of skill as a magician...

Try this:

VISIT TO SWITZERLAND

Was it the Vaud to which your Huguenot forebears fled for sanctuary?

Yes, they're correct now, and they changed before I had a chance to fix them. No idea why unless one of the other admins came along while I was away and quietly fixed them for us. (If so, thank you!) I would say it was something with your computer's cache so you couldn't see them even though they were correct, but that would have to be the case with Pam's computer too so I have no clue.

Section 13 for you Pam:

It finished at August 1792. According to Wikipedia, some date the Terror from Sept that year (not that we aren't living in interesting times).
