Good catch! (And some interesting observations). I enjoyed this chapter also.

16 patched and re-uploaded. Definitely worth the fix.
Thanks! :)

ah the mystery of the poison is explained. I did not know this interesting fact about Lucrecia Borgia.

What I find annoying and dangerous to the mission is the constant secrecy of Ralph's. I mean, if he knows who the culprit is, he should tell. What is he waiting for ? In your usual Agatha Christie mystery, once somebody says they know who did it, that person gets killed before they can say anything. So why risk this ?

I found a small, but extremely entertaining error this time

> at 5:50: “a needless cumberer of the ground” – I had to laugh when you said “cucumber” here, thinking about this image of Ralph as a small green vegetable...

How embarrassing!

How I didn't pick that up during recording and during editing is the true mystery (to me). At least you got a laugh out of it, as did I once you pointed it out.
Thanks! Chapter 17 has been patched without vegetables, and re-uploaded. :D

a teacher once told me it was very hard to find one's own mistakes. Maybe that's why we have a DPL here. At least my work is not in vain.

well, I think it was a great idea to insert the cucumber in that case. People need to laugh more often

and PL ok  looking forward to the next part (with or without veggies)

Hopefully not too many veggies, but let's get to know Mrs. Mona May just a bit.

Chapter 18 has been posted.
Thanks! :)

Mrs Mona May of course is this strange Princess, I suppose. If I was Geoffrey I would be careful to eat or drink anything that woman is dishing up. LOL

So Ralph is hinting that Marion is somehow possessed by Mrs May, maybe while she is sleepwalking or under hypnosis and therefore she might be responsible for the murder attempts. It's a logical possibility.

This chapter is PL ok again. :) no amusing slip-of-the-tongues ;)

Chapter 19 has been posted. The chapter title pretty much says most of it.
Thanks! :)

haha yes, I immediately thought Vera would be jealous. Well, apart from the ominous cliffhanger sentence, there is nothing much new here in the chapter. But Vera has stepped down from the suspect-list again with that comment. So my guess is, Geoffrey somehow gets ensnared by Mrs Mona May and Vera in the end has to help bring him back. All the romantic clichés will be used. ;)

Chapter 19 PL ok.

it was so clear from the start that Geoffrey would receive a sort of serum of truth to answer all the questions. I was surprised though, because he managed to hold some info back still. Well, still he was quite daring, he could have been poisoned that evening.

And now Tchigorsky appears again. I'm happy. :) I liked his character.

I found a tiny error yet again, which you might want to correct:

> at 10:41: "Strange," she said, carelessly, - you say "caressingly" which does give a bit of a different emotion, but maybe it's not so important

I have no idea why I would use the word 'caressingly' in that context. Very 'careless' of me! :hmm:

At any rate, chapter 20 has been repaired and re-uploaded. Thanks for your attention in this matter (and all others). :)
