I think I had the time wrong: this is 37:32, which seems odd because I know I cut a little. 8)

Section 8 is PL OK now.

Our subject is indeed the victim of a series of unfortunate events ...

You are so fluent Timothy. But this section is 5dB louder - 94.3dB - than your usual sections so I'm marked it PL notes.

Hi Timothy. I've marked this section PL OK but, if you'd like to give Cochrane even more due for his dazzling achievements in taking Brazil for Don Pedro, at 21:19.5 you could insert the missing words "and province" where the text reads "having freed the city and province of Bahia...". Up to you.

Hi,

I'm home sick for four days, which is great for this project. I've recorded 11 and 12, but not edited them.

It turns out Ch 13 has a couple of pages in French, and my French is so bad...as you will hear in an upcoming chapter!

So, if I wanted to ask around for a French speaker to do either the whole chapter, or just the letter (they choose) should I ask in "Readers Wanted: Languages other than English "?

It would be just the letter, wouldn't it?

People have been posting such questions in the "Need Help? Got Advice?" forum. Ann would probably know if the request is a reasonable one and which is the better forum for a two page letter.

The French is simple so, if nobody puts their hand up, and as a last resort, I can record it for you. But that would suggest that the narrator has undergone a sex change (though patriotically retaining an Australian accent). :)

I still haven't called out for someone to do Ch13's letter in French. Sorry, I forgot. I'll get around to it this weekend.

But for now...we finish up in Brazil.
