Child Whispers by Enid Blyton (1897 - 1968).

This project is now complete. All files can be downloaded from the catalog page here:https://librivox.org/child-whispers-by-enid-blyton//[/color]
[T]his collection of verses [28 poems] is put forward in the hope that it will be a source of sincere enjoyment to the little people of the world. (The author, in her Preface)

  • Text source (only read from this text!): https://archive.org/details/ChildWhispers/page/n3
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

I thought the introduction would be given Section 0 and that four poems would be read in each of seven succeeding sections.

Okay, I've gotten all the poems recorded.

We just need a DPL and a BC and we'll be good to go!

I think you might need an MC, which is why you posted here :D . And I trust you are the BC ? And you've already asked for a DPL by adding the tilde to the first line ?
I'll set it up anyhow - if I've got it wrong and you didn't want an MC just let me know :D

All done
We both knew what you meant, but it is confusing to newbies who sometimes seem to search the forums and latch onto any incorrect statement and use it as a guide :(

My pleasure.

For an adult, they're very strange poems, but apparently the collection is still very popular with children.

You could put an ad in listeners wanted rather than change the title field, it's better to use the standard pathways, less confusing all round.
It's less than 30 minutes work I'd mention that too.

I would be glad to PL these for you, Kevin.
And, still waiting for one more story in you Hemingway solo, or did I miss it?

Thank you, thank you!

And, yes, I've been negligent. It's fear more than anything else. It's the story I really want to make right and my editing is still that of an amateur. But I will get on it. The whole book ought to be read by those interested and not, sitting as it is, in limbo.

Thank you again for all you've done for me and LibriVox.
