Ah, yes. I had a lot of trouble with that line, for whatever reason. I'm just glad I didn't accidentally leave in any of the profanities I shouted out while recording this chapter.

Just an update -- Chapter 8 has been postponed slightly because I tried to give one character (who gives a big speech in this chapter) a New England accent and it was so terrible I have to re-record the whole thing.

Have to re-record almost all of Chapter 8. Almost all of what I've recorded is unsalvageable.

The politicians in Springfield, IL are feeling pretty defeated these days and the citizens of IL wish they could rerecord the last election.

Alright, so I'm still not overly enthused about this recording... but to be honest, I'm getting stomach cramps from tinkering around with and thinking about this stupid chapter. So I'm just posting this "as is" and hoping for the best.

Chapter 9 is halfway recorded. I should have it finished far, far sooner than this one. Sorry for the long delay.

The chapter sounds great! Congrats.

Springfield is the capital of IL. I do not (thank goodness) live there. Chicago, especially downtown, is much more fun.

Whew! Glad to have this chapter behind me.

I'll confess, I've only been to Springfield once... and even then, I barely remember anything about the trip. But I go to Chicago all the time, mostly to visit my brother and sister-in-law (although the visits have become less frequent, now that I have a kid).

Chapter 9 should be up in a couple of days.
