Well, that's partly it, but also I'm trying to be a bit more disciplined! :) And the whole story is so fascinating. Also bearing in mind that this year is the 500th anniversary of Luther posting his Theses on the church door at Wittemburg, so I'd like to finish volume 1 before the end of the year - hopefully I'm on target for that

I am sure you can make it before next year! I did not know it was 500th anniversary of that, neat!

Yes, it's a significant year! My wife and I went to an illustrated talk on the life of Martin Luther earlier this week, at one of our local churches. It was really interesting to learn more about him. He had a lot of courage to take the stand that he did.

Sections 28 and 29 now ready for PL - a little nearer the goal! :)

Up here everything is about the 150th birthday of Canada! So not much focus on that, though it is a pretty major part of the history of Christians. I am surrised I had not heard about it sooner.

I've learned something too - I thought that Canada was a little older than 150 years. Happy Birthday Canada!

It was first explored and settled before the US, but it stuck around as part of England until 1867, when there was an amicable separation. :)

Thanks Tricia, that's part of English (and Canadian) history that I'd like to explore some more. It's good that the separation was amicable!
