Actually I have just landed a contract to do a professional audiobook so I have to make that priority - new chapters may be a bit slower in coming for the next three or four weeks.

Well that's odd. I've listened on pretty good headphones and I can't hear any anomaly. Are you sure it was 28?

Yes, it is 28. I put side by side a snippet from the first minute and the last and amplified it a few dBs. The first is totally silent even after the amplification, but you can hear the hissing in the second part.

That's SO weird.
I can't fix it properly without distorting the voice, so I've pasted in some clean silence in the gaps between the speech. It's not perfect but it sounds better. I hope it will do. Given that I didn't hear it before at all without the volume turned right up, I think it will probably pass?
