(28:39 There seems to be an erratum in this total: doesn't it add up to 4 shillings? p109 end of the first paragraph "of other cake sellers".)
28:47 missing "s" sound at end of "sixpence" p109, end of above sentence.
36:02-03 slight stumble/repetition of "in" ("The Queen's good for that, anyhow, in person.") p200 last paragraph, 3rd sentence.

I must say, Mayhew has a strange sense of numbers: he thinks a profit of 2s in 6s is 50%. (29:05)

I've edited and uploaded section 32.

I've not touched his arithmetic, as ... a) in general, we should leave the text as it's printed (after all, a failure in maths or in proof-reading is not exactly a typo), and b) after all, four shillings *is* a "capital of less than 5s"! I agree that his maths seems to be fairly erratic, but think how many pieces of paper must have piled up in his office with interviews and numbers on; I think he's done a wonderful job, but he must have been so fed up with the project at the end of each volume that his proof-reading may have faltered at the thought of checking all his calculations.

There *is* a typo coming up in section 33, where a doctor's surname is first encountered as "Pereria", only to be given as "Pereira" on the next page. I've assumed that both are "Pereira".

I completely agree with you and I wasn't suggesting changing the text. It was indeed a labour of love, collected all that info with interviews.

Upload of section 33 has failed, following the software update. I updated the MW before uploading, so I thought I'd best put a note here to say that the section isn't actually available.

EDIT ... and I'm very impressed by his empathy. He's a member of the Victorian middle classes, yet he can see that the state of the poor is directly related to their lack of education, and the lack of investment in their ways of earning a living. An enormous step ahead of many others in his social group .. not to mention being ahead of the politicians!

From "Of the Street Sale of Sweet Stuff" PDF 220-221,224-227 / text 203-208

There's a typo at 4.39, text p203, col2, start of para 3:- "Dr Pereria". He/she is referred to as "Dr Pereira" on page 204, col 1, start of para 2. So I've assumed Pereira for the earlier use.

At approx 30.00 in section 33, text p207, col 2, end of para 1 "... you horrid horn, ..." a footnote is marked, but I've given it at the end of this Irishman's speech.

Total so far, approx. 21:28:24

Next section (34) is a summary of the data on the street food- and drink- sellers. Heading "Of the capital ...", text page 208. I'll record it as a separate section and have put a note in the summary, so listeners can miss it out if they want to.

I've uploaded Section 35. It's a little shorter than usual, because the next block of text is quite long, and might have meant this section got delayed until after Christmas.

Section 35. From "Of the Street Sellers of Stationery ..." PDF pages 232-236 / text pages 213-217

There's a tear across text page 214, making it difficult to read, so I copied the lines across from another copy of the book (https://archive.org/details/in.ernet.dli.2015.37797)

The tear affects para 2, col 1, p214, and a sentence in the adjacent column: -

(9.27) The patterers are, moreover, as a body, not distinguished by that good and friendly feeling one to another which is remarkable among costermongers.
