Chapter 9 is almost PL OK - the volume is a little bit high (around 94). Please amplify by -5. Everything else is great :)

Chapter 9 is fixed (I believe), and Chapter 10 is up. The spring seems to have slowed me down a bit.

Finally got two more chapters up! Had to re-record the first one after forgetting to use the right mic. Edited today while the tree guys take down 8 silver maples and an ash tree. A little loud, but seemed to work alright :)

Sections 11 and 12 are PL OK! Great work! (I couldn't hear any tree guys, or any adverse affect of them being around)

Finally got another chapter done! The first part the audio is a little...odd. Don't know what happened. Sounds almost as if the mic wasn't completely connected. Let me know if you think it really ought to be fixed. It's just a short bit.

Thanks!

How nice to hear you again :) I agree with you, the first 20 to 30 seconds of the recording sound a little distant. It is up to you whether to re-record them or not - I have no problems understanding what you are reading. Everything else in the recording is perfectly PL OK. Just let me know if you want to re-record or whether you want me to mark it PL OK as is

I guess mark it PL OK. As a reader, I wouldn't care much what the first 20 seconds of a recording sounded like if it straightened itself out. If it were the first or second chapter, maybe. Thanks!

Brokenaltar, in case you haven't seen this already, we had a server error that wiped out everything that was done between Sep 15 and Oct 14. All files uploaded during that time as well as the forum posts and PL notes are gone, and we aren't able to recover them. If there are files missing from this project and you still have copies, would you please reupload them and enter them in the MW? If they were already PL OK, it's fine to mark that in the MW too.

Thanks, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience! Here's more information on the server problem, if you're interested: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=62490

Yes, I'm sorry.

I got pregnant, and my mother-in-law was diagnosed with cancer, all at the same time. SO, I'm afraid I haven't had much energy to do recordings. I would like to finish this, but I'm unsure of the timeline, with me being physically, hormonally and emotionally exhausted.

Goodness, what a roller coaster! I can well imagine that you haven't felt like recording. There are a couple of ways we can go. One is to keep this as your solo. If we do this, please check in once a month so I'll know to keep it active for you (we usually open solos up for other readers to finish after 3 months of no posts). The other way is to go ahead and open it up now so it's off your plate and you can focus on real life.

Either way, best wishes to you and I hope all goes well with your little one and your mother-in-law!

This is my check-in, because I would indeed like to finish this as a solo, as long as it's ok that it waits until after the newborn stage. My son Finn is due at the beginning of December. If that's longer than you like things to sit, I totally understand.
