The Way of Peace by James Allen (1864 - 1912).

  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://james-allen.in1woord.nl/?text=from-poverty-to-power
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

I can set this up for you :)

Wait, I'm not sure your source is public domain. Can you use this one instead? https://archive.org/details/in.ernet.dli.2015.128101

I'll get a MW when you let me know if you can read this scan ok, and confirm to use it :)

Hi Kathrinee, :9:

Many thanks for MCing.

I'm sure that the text is PD because I just completed a cataloged project from the same source:

In completed thread: https://forum.librivox.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=66290
In catalog: https://librivox.org/the-path-to-prosperity-by-james-allen/

It's the same source Algy Pug used in his 2015 recording for Librivox: https://librivox.org/the-way-of-peace-version-2-by-james-allen/

This is just part two of the same book. :)

Kind Regards,
Sonnie

OK, cool :) (I just didn't know the source -- I prefer to always err on the side of caution when it comes to PD ;) )

ETA:
Here is the MW

You do not have to fill the ID3 tags if you don't want to, it happens automatically when I catalog anyway.

Do you have a DPL lined up? If not, we can add a ~ to the subject (headline) of the first post. That way, prospective DPLs know that their services are wanted in this project :)

Many thanks,

I don't have a DPL lined up, maybe DaveC would be interested in offering his services again?
If not, anyone who enjoys this sort of literature and can put up with my voice would be greatly appreciated... :D

Sorry for the late reply, I was in hibernation all weekend.

No worries at all, I fully support hibernation for humans (I come from northern Norway, north of the Arctic circle  )
