Hi, I am willing to take this up.
This is my first time on LibriVox though, and I would need some guidance regarding how to go about it, and what exactly is expected of me.
Thanks,
Saupayan

Hello and welcome, Saupayan!
It would be great if you would prooflisten to this project  Right now there are no new files to listen to, but when Elijah uploads another one, it will appear in the Magic Window (the scrolling window in the first post) and on the column at the far right it will say Ready for PL. Then you listen to that chapter and, looking for a specific list of things (repeats, long silences etc) see if you have any comments.

This project asks for standard PL, so here are the things to listen for
Always check the first post for the level of proof-listening requested, or post in the thread to ask. Please do not offer feedback beyond the level requested.
In general, we ask for standard listening -- repeats and gaps:
Listen for repeated words or passages that the reader likely intended to edit out.
Note any long pauses or bad background noises that disrupt the flow of your listening pleasure.
Note that the intro and outro has the correct wording as noted in the first post of the project thread, and 5 seconds of silence at the end.
If the recording seems too loud or too quiet, please note that as well.
It is NOT necessary for you to follow along with the text; just listen as you would normally.
If you have no comments, you can post in the thread saying "Section # is PL OK!", and if there are notes, you post them. Does that sound good?

You can subscribe to the thread (button in the left top corner), that should give you a notification every times someone posts in this thread. Elijah (who is the soloist) will post whenever he uploads something.

Please ask if you have questions!

If you are in the market for a DPL, I'd be interested.

Many thanks,

Philip
