Hi Barbara,

Yes, I think it's good--still waiting for the political candidates to show up though. I might need to write my own summary to reflect the focus on the women characters.

I've adjusted the level as per your suggestion. Thanks for the feedback.

Cheers, Kirsty

Thanks for Chapter 6 Kirsty. It's PL OK. I loved Grandma Clay's love story.

PL OK Kirsty. This Ernest Breslaw is a nice twist in the plot. I wonder if the narrator's match-making, like JA's Emma's, is going to turn out misguided? Maybe she herself is the object of Ernest's affections?

I await Chapter 8.

Hi Barbara,

Chapter 8 should be there now too. It's just a short one.

I think our heroine is a fair bit older; although, I've noticed in these early novels what counts as old is a lot younger than we understand today. Will wait and see!

Oh, "grey hair". Perhaps she had a disastrous marriage then. I like the way more characters are being introduced.

At 1:36, Kirsty, you left out a short sentence "Give her plenty of air".

Hi Barbara,

I've added the missing sentence to Chapter 8. Hope it's all okay now. :)

Just uploaded Chapter 10! It's very funny--I think she got a lucky escape with the first dentist!

I don't want to think about it.

So, looks as if those political candidates are about to enter the scene.

BTW, PL OK!

Kirsty

Thanks Kirsty.

Is Grandma being so admirably honest but so tough on Andrew because fear still lingers in Australian society about the convict taint? And is Dawn going to stop tormenting poor Ernest?

Looking forward to learning more.

BTW Mp3gain suggests that chapter 12 could do with a gain of 1.5. See what you think. I've marked it PL OK.

Best,

Barbara
