Any word on why I might not be able to get a password reset for the MW?

There have been some problems with hotmail accounts . Do you have another account you could use ? PM it to me if you have and we can try that ?

Chapter 4 sounds good to me, and is marked PL OK.

Yea!!! Continue to leave a forum post when you upload files. That generates an email to me. As the other books I'm working with are pretty quiet right now, it might be a few days before I'd notice a new file without the email alert. I'm really enjoying listening to this. I love the music of the Polynesian languages.

Upoko 5 is PL OK. There was more background noise, especially a buzz, in this one. You might want to try some noise cleaning if that continues.

Chapter 6 sounds great. The background noise is much reduced. Marked PL OK.

Thanks. I'm using the same equipment so I'm not sure where the buz is coming from all of a sudden. I used noise reduction in upoko 6 but I'm still frustrated with the sound...

I didn't even notice the buzz on the first 4 chapters, but I might have been listening with a different headset. But the noise cleaning on chapter 6 was fine.

I fought with a background buzz for years -- spend lots of time cleaning it out of recordings, buying different mics, etc. It can be a really frustrating problem to solve. Sometimes it was better, and sometimes it was worse. The better the mic was, the worse the problem got! Finally determined that I needed to get away from my laptop's fan. I can either use my Mac mini (a desktop), or connect the microphone to a separately-powered USB hub on my laptop.
