Hi rd

The only downer at the moment is the state of my dentition.

I'm having the first of two operations in a few days' time. Meanwhile I have the choice of recording files full of speech impediments (which take ages to edit down) or patiently waiting for better times.

This is so frustrating, because this is my favourite solo so far, the one that combines everything I've tried to contribute through my style of reading. I also miss lording it as Supreme Pontiff.

Regards
Martin

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that :( .
Hope your operations go smoothly and that you're back to full oral competency soon!

Hi

Just thought I'd note that PG have updated their list of clearances, and Hadrian the Seventh shows up with a clearance date of 18 May 2010.

Best regards

Hi

Just checking in. After the first of two operations, I am now back in action, my diction (as far as I can judge) in a respectable state - so in a few days I hope to resume the triple crown.

Meanwhile, here's RL catching up with Hadrian -

Martin, I'm so glad to hear you are well. I'm certain it's frustrating for you to wait on recording when you love this book so much. I have to say that you have shown me how wonderful this book is and I look forward to listening as soon as you are able to record.

Hi

Checking in yet again to reaffirm my absolute commitment to the project. :) I am determined this time to clear my other reading commitments and take it from there, with just this one on the agenda.

All the best
Martin

Hi

Just checking in, and to say that I am nerving myself to resume this cherished project. I have some things to get through first, but am slowly clearing a way to continue.

Optimistically,

Hi

Rejoice - this strange story will continue to be told:

http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/rd/hadrianthe7th_24_rolfe.mp3

Duration - 11:19

I have missed out Section 23 for the moment, because I wanted to start up again on a brief easy section with no Cockney landladies or choleric Scotsmen. :)

Hope this still sounds like the old Hadrian...

Best

Section 24 is PL OK.

I had forgotten how funny parts of Hadrian could be. How on earth could a person who showers daily, listens to people and walks normally ever be a proper pope? Not do mention his refusal to wear jewels, God forbid!

You sound excellent as usual.
