all chapters PL ok now. For a moment I thought Rostov would not survive the last chapter. :? But I guess we haven't heard the last of him yet.

Thanks

38 & 39 ready for PL.

I don't know how historically accurate this is, but so far it seems Napoleon's success has less to do with his genius than Russian incompetence.

 isn't that often the case ? The great can only become great if the other people make themselves small. But Napoleon received a dire defeat in his Russian campaign later on.

Both chapters PL ok

You mean, the French don't win? Oh man, you spoiled the ending for me.

Anyway, Glutton Fest is now over, so sections 40 - 42 are ready for PL.

I think it's no spoiler that Napoleon's famous winter campaign in Russia was a disaster :hmm: Taught him not to invade Russia in winter, the Russians are more used to ice and snow than the French

We are not there yet, but I am sure it will be a huge part of this story, probably in Book 3 or 4.

Meanwhile, sections 40, 41 and 42 are totally PL ok.

still enjoying this

thanks

is it going to be "exit Rostov" ? :? Or at least a maimed Rostov will be sent home, if not executed for fleeing the fight.

War is not pretty. These boys learnt it the hard way.

Three perfect chapters, thanks, all PL ok :)

yes I think Rostov gets away with a lost arm. Probably a difficult situation for him still.

Both chapters perfectly PL ok. And we reached the end of Book 2 already. WOW.

I hope we hear more from the folks back in Moscow now in Book 3.

Thanks
