Section 55 is PL OK.
The interest/usury distinction was interesting.

I hope you found listening to this project as worthwhile as I did recording it. Although at times it did get quite tedious - especially with all the Latin - I learned a lot about the original of so many of the words, customs, laws and concepts as exist in our current American society.
And thanks again for all your attention and guidance in helping me through this process.
Believe it or not, I've already begun recording book 3, albeit at a significantly slower pace (3 chapter/4 sections 1.5 weeks), but I won't reach out to anyone at LV about setting up the next project, until I see this one reach it's final form.
Thanks again.

Both these sections are PL OK and this long and admirable first solo is complete! Rap will work on cataloguing soon. Great job on completing it. So many interesting tidbits. I felt like a lot of mystery novels could use some of the more obscure laws in their plots (like the one about colluding to read a doctored version of a contract to a blind person who couldn't read what he is signing).RHaines wrote: ↑December 7th, 2022, 2:09 am

Great recording quality. I think people will appreciate this one (though it might only be to a certain kind of person's taste). Very well done on the s/f distinction in the fontface.

Could you provide a summary in your own words - instead of Wikipedia - and a few keywords that describe the project, please?
Definitely a momentous achievement in completing it in this time-frame!
As MC, my only feedback would be to also post a reply every time you upload a new file or make changes in the Magic Window. Apart from notifying your DPL/MC, it also serves as good record keeping of the project's progress.

Here's my best shot:Could you provide a summary in your own words - instead of Wikipedia - and a few keywords that describe the project, please?
The Commentaries on the Laws of England by Sir William Blackstone, are a prominent and authoritative 18th century dissertation on the common law of England which not only pertains to that country, but is also at the foundation of the American legal system. They were widely read and a huge influence on America's Founding Fathers and, to this day, are occasionally quoted in U.S. Supreme Court decisions when expounding upon principals of universal and enduring human justice.
The commentaries were divided into four books: On the Rights of Persons, On the Rights of Things, Of Private Wrongs, and Of Public Wrongs. This second volume deals chiefly with the English laws regarding property both real (of land) and personal, and the origin and history thereof.
As to keywords, I'm not sure what you need here, other than perhaps Law, Political Science
Well, my typical expression, (in keeping with my obsessive nature), is "that anything worth doing, is worth overdoing!" To that end, as you may have seen from my prior comments, I've already begun to record the 3rd volume...think I should set that up now, or wait until this one reaches its final form?Definitely a momentous achievement in completing it in this time-frame!
As this was my first real recording, I've learned quite a bit as regards process from both yourself and my dedicated PL, InTheDesert, and will certainly do as you suggest, going forward. As MC, my only feedback would be to also post a reply every time you upload a new file or make changes in the Magic Window.
