Perfect! You sound like the target audience for this project. Hopefully someone at Gutenberg will publish the second volume of this commentary eventually, as it would be nice to have the entirety of The Vedanta-Sutras in the public domain as an audiobook.
I have noticed some similarities, as well, of the historical restrictions and liberties taken with the interpretations of the sutras and of the Bible. People invariably succumb to their own biases in interpretations of this sort, it seems.
