That's fine, Peter. The next section is going to take some time (Polish names etc.) Hope you're away somewhere nice.

I'm off to the Isle of Wight. I'm hoping to see some red squirrels, and want to visit "King's Quay", an odd, deserted little patch of coastline with acres of samphire (at least, it was deserted when I last went there fifty years ago!).

Section 105 PL ok.
A pleasant few days on the Isle of Wight, but my hopes were all unsatisfied. I couldn't get to the King's Quay inlet ("Private" and "Enter at your own risk" signs across the foreshore), and just a couple of glimpses of squirrels about thirty yards away.

That's a pity. Is it in disrepair? At least the squirrels still exist. Since the introduction of the grey squirrel, the red is much rarer.

PL notes for Section 106: Missing intro, and some unedited stuff after the "end of section 106".
It was pleasant being on the Isle of Wight for a few days, but I only caught that glimpse of a squirrel about 30 yards away (on my last morning). And access to the inlet that I had wanted to visit was blocked by "Private" "Enter at your own risk" signs. I contacted the IOW ramblers' group about that, and was told that they had been having problems with the farmer who was blocking access .... so that may get sorted out. Oh, well ... try again later in the year. At least I got a little drawing done while I was sitting in the park for a few hours, waiting for the squirrels.
