Hi Larry,

Thanks so much for letting me know re Section 68. Please ignore that version for now, and I will investigate, I did think that the 90dB was higher than normal, so thanks for picking that up. I will re-upload a revised version.

Take care
Leanne

Hi Larry,

I re "formatted" this section, as luckily I always keep a "raw" file, before I start using Audacity tools like normalising, and especially the Replay Gain function (which I have to use, as my natural voice is too soft). So I went back to the raw file, and reformatted (using Replay Gain), re-listened for any funny background noises, and have re-exported it as an MP3. This time the volume has dropped to 86.0 dB, which is what it normally is, and not 90 dB as it was before. So I hope this version is ok, but please check and let me know if not. I was tempted to just re-record the whole section, but it's 27 minutes of recording, so I tried the re-formatting route first.

So the re-upload of Section 68 is uploaded at 86 dB for checking please:

Section 68 - - - Cloud : Part 3 - - - Track Length: 27:15

Many thanks Larry,

Get better soon, did I miss that, you have / had Covid?

Kind regards
Leanne

OK these two sections are PL OK.
I think that leaves a mere five chapters to the conclusion.

Well, I did test positive on a home test for COVID, with classic symptoms for the Omicron strain. I've had colds that were worse. But then, I have had my two jabs and booster. Seldom go out and very conscientious about masks and distancing. This variant really is more contagious. When everyone else in the household tested positive months ago, I was the only one who remained healthy. Some of this stuff makes no sense, so I understand the confusion and frustration. I have medical training, and I'm still at a loss as to how to evaluate the mixed information we're being given, even from usually reliable sources. :hmm:

Yes, exactly, Larry, all most confusing I must say this Covid business. Glad that your symptoms are manageable. I am praying that I don't get Covid, or even a bad cold, because my darn nose is still so sensitive from my fall. Gosh, still can't believe I fell on my face, what a silly face. And I still have facial bruises, a month later.

Many thanks re PL for sections 68 and 69.

Section 70 is ready, I just need to export it as an MP3 and upload it. I am halfway through editing section 71, so will probably send 70 and 71 through together.

Look after yourself

Kind regards

Yay thanks Larry!

2 Sections to go....

Have a great weekend

PS, went to see my GP this morning, as my facial bruises, although diminished, have not gone away (after 5 weeks), also nose very very sensitive. Anyhow, he was surprised that visit to hospital casualty on the morning it happened did not have xrays done, so he sent me for xrays. Guess, what, yup, the nose is actually fractured. Fortunately however it is what they call a "subtle, non-displaced" broken bone. But that explains why it's still so tender. No treatment required or surgery thank goodness.

Best wishes
Leanne

Well, those X-Rays explain a lot! Wouldn't have changed treatment much, but at least now you know the cause of so much bruising and pain. My best wishes for speedy recovery!

And, through it all, you've pushed ahead to complete this book! By my reckoning, nearly 24 1/2 of flawless recording!! Monumental :) Hearty congratulations are indeed in order.

It has been my pleasure to listen along and to exchange bits of conversation along the way. :9:
Keep me in mind should you decide to undertake another recording.

I understand Tom has been helping behind the scenes, so a huge thanks to him as well,

And, lastly, thanks to Phil who can now present this to the listening public to enjoy!

Dear Larry and Tom

Thanks so much for all your support and encouragement without which none of my this would have been possible. I can't thank you enough. It's been such fun. I will take a short break before prayerfully tackling the next project. Larry thanks for offering to be the proof listener again. I will definitely take you up on that offer.

Thanks again guys. Truly appreciate the team work.

Blessings to you

Leanne
