oh no !!! I hope Pouncer will show up again. :? I can understand how Grif would do anything to get his dog back. Now I am wondering whether he really woke up at the end of the chapter, or whether the next chapters all will only be his dream ;) I'll let myself be surprised.

This one is perfectly PL ok, thanks

ah I love a happy ending. I hope the dogs all stay at liberty. I can't bear cruelty to animals in literature, so I'm happy that they got away from the circus. :9:

I found a small bit missing:

> at 2:02: (p. 130) part of sentence missing (underlined): "which snapped with a noise like a pistol shot, and silence was essential"

the rest was perfect (you're pretty good at barking, too  )

I got obsessive over the "snapped" and ended up picking an incomplete take by mistake. Substituted in a different take, differences are 1:53-2:11. Nothing else is changed.

Chapter 11

(37:34)

This one is a bit of a beast. I suppose Mr. Reid didn't want to stay away from Grif for more than one chapter but it results in this one being absolutely overstuffed.

Expecting to be away from the computer until at least Monday. Have a good weekend.

we're in the thick of the action here. The thought that the boys are running around shooting guns at people is a bit unsettling :? And the doctor finds it amusing  The mentality has changed quite a bit from those times

Both chapters now PL ok. Thanks, and have a nice weekend

ah this was a shorty, and we're back with Grif and Pouncer. Does he go home without a surreal detour ? I wonder... It seemed like it was such a kind of book

Another perfectly PL ok chapter, thanks.

You're not wrong about that! It was just very subtle. But something happened there that will stick with him.

:hmm: now I'm curious what you were referring to. I guess it will become clear soon. This chapter with the churchyard description was very interesting again. And the wall is whispering ?

And again PL ok. Thanks

Mr. Bradley, at least, sees significance in the flute song that Grif heard. But he may not be trustworthy . . .

ok Mr Bradley now creeps me out  You make him sound like a lunatic, maybe even intentionally ;) In any case, this story about the dead boy brings in quite a chilling atmosphere. I could well imagine that Mr Bradley somehow had something to do with his death :hmm: and now he is after Grif... now this is getting really interesting.

Only one small missed bit to reinsert this time:

> at 1:29: (p. 187) missed sentence: "But when I did..."

thanks

so Grif is a sleepwalker...the poor boy, he seems to be predestined for strange happenings. The mind is a powerful thing and he is too sensitive for his own good. Curious what will happen further...

Both chapters now PL ok.

Thanks
