Thanks so much Larry. I replied but somehow lost the draft. Sitting in the car on our way back home from dropping off my 95 year old father in law

Ps was browsing on my phone and stumbled on my narrated book Emily of New Moon on 2 different websites Storytel and Scribd. Looks like one has to subscribe to listen which seems crazy as listening can be done for free on Librivox. Perhaps i am mistaken about having to subscribe but if so it means these companies make money from our donated work.

Kind regards
Leanne

Magic Window clean up.

Just an idea, but I think the titles in the MW, which is how they will appear in the catalog, might look better if the were in regular title case, as a few of them are, rather than all upper case. I have a little program that helps me to this, and I'd be glad to take care of that if you like. So, just let me know.

I have heard that there are some places that "steal" LibriVox recordings and sell them in various ways, but I don't know too much about it. It is not illegal, since once we release them into the public domain, we've relinquished all rights, but, personally, I think it is unethical, both to the creators, us, and to the consumer who is paying for something that is free. But, I'm bot getting into that can of worms.

Larry,

I agree. It's OK at my end if you have a way to accomplish such a "cleanup" effortlessly and quickly. I can't imagine Leanne would object - - - but I'll let her speak for herself.
Much appreciated.

Hi Larry and Tom,,

Re the magic window cleanup, yes please I would be so glad if you could attend to that as per your suggestion, many thanks!

Totally agree it's unethical for companies to steal our donated work, and I was shocked and disappointed to discover that but I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

Take care

Thanks for all the support.

Kind regards
Leanne

Okay, I've cleaned up the titles in the Magic Window.

My program did not carry over the accents, but if you think it is important, I'm sure I can find a way to restore them. There used to be a problem with Archive not being able to handle them, but I'm not sure if that is still the case. Let me know if anything else looks amiss.

Hi Larry,

That looks fabulous, thanks so much! Just two little things I noticed:

Section 12 - Should be "Isidore" (not "Isadore") that was my mistake initially, apologies
Section 47 - Should be "The" not "THe"

Re the accents, I don't think it's a train smash, as only affects "fete" and "Hotel Crecy" I think.

Many thanks again :)

Take care

Hi!
I wanted to send you this note.
I started to listen to Section 68 and noticed a couple of things different.
The volume, although well within our range is noticeably higher than the rest of your recordings. Then there seems to be quite a bit of hissing on the esses, especially at the beginning of the words. All of this is OK with standard PL, but before I went too much further, I thought I would give you a chance to listen to it again to see if you want to change anything. If you are okay with it, I'll finish the PL on it as submitted.

I've fallen a bit behind with this virus, although I did put in a full day on my day job today.

All the best,
Larry
