T. Tembarom, by Frances Hodgson Burnett (1849 - 1924)

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/t-tembarom-version-2-by-frances-hodgson-burnett/

T. Tembarom is a young man who grew up in New York City, scraping his way by blacking shoes and selling newspapers. On day, he gets notified that he has become heir to a large estate in England with a healthy income. Though this would the the ultimate blessing to most, it sets him too high in class in English society for the simple Little Anne, the love of his life. His main goal is to prove to her that he would give High Society a good chance, then she would agree to marry him, knowing that she was his real choice. (Summary by Keith Salis)

Target completion date: 2022-02-28

Prooflistening level: Standard
Prospective PLs, please see the Guide for Proof-listeners.

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Just fyi, this will be version 2 - we are happy about that , just checking that you know. Some soloists prefer to add new books. There is no need for you to explain, we have just had a few readers who haven't realised and found out after they had recorded a few chapters

Thanks. You are correct about wanting to do original works. I normally am one of them.
This one came as a suggestion to do as a solo from Elaine Toth. I looked it over, and thought this would be a good way to spend my Winter.
We'll see how it goes.

Setting this up for you.

All set. Let me know if you need anything else.

Version 1 was, I believe, a group project. This will be the first solo version.

Thanks Verla!
I should have more released soon. My upstairs neighbors have been away, so I've taken the opportunity to record more than edit lately.

Ch 2 is ready for PL.
I hope to make good progress in uploading these, so I might not notify every time, depending how things go with PL.
There's no rush in getting them PLd, I'm just eager to get them submitted.
Right now I have through Ch 25 recorded and would hate for something to happen and have to redo everything. :?

Thanks, keratak. Please do notify every time you upload something. I do a lot of DPL - 15 projects right now, though there are always some that are dormant. Getting the forum post notifications is how I keep track of what needs doing. Otherwise I don't even check to see if there's anything new.
