you did not know there were fake gems but I agree, "paste" doesn't really sound like it would look like the real thing they could have used another word for it.

I really enjoyed these scenes. If anything, I want to see more of these shady side charactesr that Anstruther is dealing with!

I thought it was quite funny when Seymour was talking about hiding from Anstruther ... hiding in London. The one place Anstruther lives. Great choice but I suppose "keep your friends close, and your enemies even closer" is applicable here.

The writing is on the wall for Anstruther. I feel like he probably has some more tricks up his sleeve, but his time is running out. I love these "everyone is in disguise because it's a fancy dress / masked ball / halloween party" things - they use it in TV and film all the time, and usually leads to some serious drama.
