Kaffen wrote: October 27th, 2021, 1:56 pm Jo, I changed my LV password several days ago because of a Google alert it might be compromised. I haven't had any difficulties, though, until today - now, I can sign onto the forum and the Uploader but I'm unable to get into the Magic Window. I generally leave it open in a window and refresh it when I want to add stuff, but today it's defaulting to a log-in page and refusing my credentials. If I close that window and try the link on the first page, it again goes to the log-in page.

Can you help?

I can't find any post in the logical place, Want to Start a Solo Project?, that tells newbies (or oldies like me who are having difficulties) anything about the management of the Magic Window, who is responsible for it, or how to access it. - You might suggest to the admin group that someone address that deficiency.
You need to login to the workflow with the password you set for the management dashboard, not your forum password.

Instructions are in the wiki and the google document below

Instructions for BCs and DPLs

A version of the above is also in the LibriVox wiki in case you can't access Google Docs for some reason.

That fixed me - thanks!

Now I've harmonized my Workflow and Forum logins. Google stored passwords were tripping me up because both use my account name.

Unable to help himself, Madison has delivered yet two more "The Same Subject Continued" - and I, as faithful narrator, have obliged with audio versions! :D :D

Yet another "Same Subject Continued" will bring us finally to the end of this thread of Madison's! :D

But of course we are not yet done! Oh, no - we continue with "Other Defects" by Hamilton! :D

Hamilton, in his eloquence and passion, gets so wound up in Federalist No. 22 that he emits a sentence of (I kid you not) 130 words. Whew!
But his text spoke feelingly to me of the currents running through Congress right now.

:D

Hamilton, in Federalist No. 23, is so kind of to limit himself to only 113 words in a sentence! Bless him! :D

And in No. 24 he peters out, I think, to more normal (for him) sentences of 60 or so words! :D

Now add to the in-box No. 25, wherein Hamilton alerts us to the fact that if states control armies, they'll use them improperly.
I was immediately put in mind of the governor of Arizona, who took up arms against California. (It took some looking, but I finally found this: https://kjzz.org/content/11126/did-you-know-arizona-navy-deployed-1934 )

Anyway - done! :D

I'm sure it's a lot easier listening to those long, complex sentences, than it is recording them! :D

I commend to you No. 28! :D

https://librivox.org/uploads/knotyouraveragejo/federalistpapers_28_madison_128kb.mp3

And also No. 29! :D Herein lies discussion of the original "well-regulated militia." I was very interested in these thoughts, as their intent in the Constitution has been hotly debated.

Hamilton didn't know, but he could conceive, that the U.S. Government might want to spend multi-trillions of dollars outside of war... and he certainly fought hard for the right to do so!

Here are Nos. 30 & 31! :D :D
