 yay yay yay, thank you very much Larry, so much appreciated :)

I'm happy to say that I have recorded right up to the end of the book, section 74.
So now I will be focusing just on proof listening and editing (estimated at probably at least 60 hours to do so, phew!)
I'm almost done with Section 46, so will send that through soonest.

Best regards to you - how is your granddaughter ?

Take care
Leanne

Hi Larry,

I've just encountered a problem when I exported Section 46 as an MP3, first time I have had this error message.
I used the Checker, as usual, to check the file, and it has failed. The error message is "The sampling rate should be 44.1kHz" and I don't know how to fix it. Phew, sure hope I don't have to re-record. The settings when exporting to MP3 have not changed at all, i.e. bit rate is constant, quality is 128 kb ps and variable speed is standard. Channel Mode has 'Force to Mono" checked.

If you could please let me know what to do to resolve above I would be most grateful, thank you. I will also try and research it as well.

Kind regards
Leanne

Me again! Ah, my panic was premature. I googled the problem, and somehow the project rate had changed on Audacity, and I put it back to 44100 and voila problem solved! Hooray. Section 46 to follow shortly :)

PS, re the text for section 46, as per one of my previous messages, I substituted the word "out" as it is in the Gutenberg text, for "our" as otherwise the sentence does not make sense.... i.e. "The longer we live, the more our experience widens" as opposed to "The longer we live, the more out experience widens"...

PL OK

I've had that issue with Audacity from time to time, and I don't know how the settings get changed. :hmm:

It's been a very rainy summer, but no flooding in our immediate area, but our pond is full.
New grand daughter, Arabella, is too cute for words. :D

August travels first to California to visit older daughter and family. She's starting a new job is director of a counseling center and associate professor at a university there. We had fun with the kids. Then, just back from another trip to the west coast, Oregon my home state, to visit my younger brother. It was a wonderful time, except that instead of celebrating our older brother's birthday, we had a memorial service for him as he had succumbed to multiple health issue before I arrived.

Trust you are will in mind and body!
You've certainly been busy with this project.

Dear Larry,

I am SO sorry to hear about your older brother :(, please accept my deepest sympathies, to you and your family. Such sad news Larry.

Arabella sounds delightful, what a beautiful name.

Thank you very much for the proof listening, you are a star, thank you again.

And as always, I send a thousand pardons to the French speaking people out there who must absolutely cringe at my pathetic attempts at French..... LOL

Blessings to you and your family,

Leanne

Thank you so much Larry.

And on the other side of the world here in Africa we are heading into Spring. I must be honest though that Autumn is my favorite season.

Take care
