Cry Chaos!, by Dwight V. Swain (1915 - 1992)

Volunteers outside the USA: Dwight V. Swain died in 1992. This person's work may still be protected by copyright in countries where copyright duration is determined by the author's death date. In Europe this is 70 years; in Canada it is 50 years; and in Australia it is 70 years for authors who died after 1955.
Gripping and short, Cry, Chaos! is the speculative fiction story of one leader's valiant fight to protect the galaxy - and himself - from slavers and thieves. (Summary by April Mendis)

Prospective PLs, please see the Guide for Proof-listeners.

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Hi April. I will MC this for you. MW will be along shortly.

Meanwhile, since this will be your first project as soloist/book coordinator(BC), in addition to changing the status that you do as a DPL, you will need to enter the information into the section compiler which then appears in the "Magic Window" in the top post.

Here are some links to instructions for entering and editing information in the section compiler.

Instructions for BCs and DPLs

A version of the above is also in the LibriVox wiki in case you can't access Google Docs for some reason.

If you have any questions, let me know.

I've marked both of these PL OK.
But, I think you are overdriving the audio because there is quite a bit of clipping, When you need to "shout" or raise your voice, back off a bit from the microphone. It is a challenge, but with practice you can learn to emphasize without increasing the volume.

Thanks, Larry. I think I was recording a bit low and made a mistake when amplifying to reach the volume level requirement. I've re-uploaded after re-reading the guidelines on how to use the replaygain analyzer and the soft limiter. I hope these versions are an improvement over the first uploads.

Hi Jo and Larry! Sorry for the lapse in updating this project - it’s been a surprisingly busy past month. I plan to get back to it soon and hope that you are still available. Thanks!
