I'd like to read something in Swedish and I found Valda berättelser by Selma Lagerlöf on Gutenberg.org (https://gutenberg.org/ebooks/51440). It's a collection of short stories and if possible I'd like it to be a collaboration, otherwise I could do it solo. Selma Lagerlöf died in 1940 and the book obviously is in the public domain in USA. But could I read it from Sweden? Since 70 years have passed since she died I guess it's ok?

And: Finns det några andra svenskar här som skulle vara intresserade av att läsa in den (eller något annat på svenska)?

Hi Anna. We have a number of recordings of books and stories by Selma Lagerlöf, mostly in English and German. Recording her work in Swedish would be a great addition to the catalog.

You are correct that you can legally record books in Sweden by authors who have died more than 70 years ago. For LibriVox the book must be in the Public Domain in the USA which currently is anything published before 1927 (95 years from the date of publication).
