Librivox seems to love Jane Austen, with a half dozen different versions of each of her major novels. But I'm wondering why the one version of "Jane Austen's Juvenilia" seems to be presented as the complete and definitive version of her early collected works, when Wikipedia has those stories (Love and Freindship, Lesley Castle, etc.) as Volume 2 (of 3).

Surely if the middle volume is in the public domain, the other two must be as well? So why is that version not named "Jane Austen's Juvenilia Volume the Second"? And is anyone interested in recording Volume the First and Volume the Third? Is there something I'm missing?

Thanks!

Can you provide links to the Wikipedia article and/or other sources?

EDIT: I'm guessing you are talking about this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jane_Austen#List_of_works

My guess is that there isn't any complete, published "Juvenilia" with any volume numbers, that it's simply a way to lump together her earlier works. I don't see the other works on Gutenberg at all; I wonder if the texts are hard to come by.
School fiction: David Blaize
America Exploration: The First Four Voyages of Amerigo Vespucci
Serial novel: The Wandering Jew

Feedbooks seems to have free Epubs of all three. It looks like the divisions are standard, divided into three volumes by Jane Austen herself but published posthumously (not sure when, but I can't imagine recently enough to still be under copywrite).

EDIT:

Jane Austen’s unfinished novel “Sanditon” is also not on Librivox. The full text is here:

https://archive.org/stream/Sanditon/JaneAustenssanditon_djvu.txt

It has been “completed” by numerous people, including Jane Austen’s own niece. That version is undoubtedly in the public domain (her niece Anna Austen Lefroy died in 1872), but I haven’t been able to find it online yet, just order-able through libraries. I think either the incomplete version or any “completed” version in the public domain would be good candidates for Librivox.

Juvenilia Volumes 1 & 3 and Sanditon look like the only Jane Austen writings still missing from Librivox.
