It was published in 1924, so the first edition is PD in the USA. It's on Gutenberg: https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/61686

It is not PD in Europe or other Life+70 countries.

However, we do STRONGLY urge new readers to do at least a couple sections in group projects first, to get a good feel for how much work it is to record and edit. Also, to get used to the Magic Window, since as a soloist, you're in charge of keeping your Magic Window current. :)

It's about 90,000 words, or about 10 hours of finished recording. This would be on the long side for a new reader to do as a solo. Possible? Of course; more difficult because of its length? Yep.
Elizabethan Poetry: The Psalmes of David
Boring works 30-70 minutes long: Insomnia Collection 5
Short essays: Elia, and The Last Essays of Elia

Thank you for your advice! Yes I will record a short piece of a chapters of a group work to see if it’s do-able for me first. And if so, I wish to record So Big:)
I’ll keep you updated.
Thank you

And please - do do the 1 minute test - it's not an audition , we just have special technical needs and it's easier to adjust a small sample than to fiddle with a real recording and run the risk of muddy sound quality.
