Louis Albert Banks (1855-1933) was an American Methodist minister. He wrote dozens of books, mostly sermons (along the lines of F.W. Boreham, from what I hear), but also a few biographies, including his own, and a few books on social issues of his day. It looks like there are quite a lot to choose from available online, so much so that I'm amazed I'm only now hearing of him, and that we don't have him in our catalogue yet.

This blogger has already done a great job listing his works, along with links to where they can be found, so I won't duplicate his work at this time: http://olddeadguys.com/2020/04/08/a-bibliography-of-louis-albert-banks/

EDIT:

In the LV catalogue as of December 2022:

Christ and His Friends: https://librivox.org/christ-and-his-friends-by-louis-albert-banks/
A Year's Prayer-Meeting Talks https://librivox.org/a-years-prayer-meeting-talks-by-louis-albert-banks/
David and His Friends: https://librivox.org/david-and-his-friends-by-louis-albert-banks/
The Great Sinners of the Bible: https://librivox.org/the-great-sinners-of-the-bible-by-louis-albert-banks/

In progress:
The Fisherman and his Friends viewtopic.php?t=95879

I think that from here, I'll continue on through the following:

John and His Friends: https://archive.org/details/johnhisfriendsse00bank
Paul and His Friends: https://archive.org/details/paulhisfriendsse00bank

But, of course, if anyone is interested in doing one of these as a solo or BCing a group project yourself, don't let me stop you!

I just updated the first post above with the two books by this author we've done so far, and with my short-list of books I plan to BC sooner or later. But obviously, any of these are still open to anyone else who wants to do their own version!

Very shortly, I'll be opening David and His Friends as a group project.
