Check at gutenberg also. There may be more of them there than are listed in this thread.

Greg
I''ve put together 10 of Jim Harmon's short stories in a project I'm doing now.

Thank you Colleen for bumping this thread and consolidating things. Us SF lovers like to be reminded of the gold nuggets just waiting for us to pick them up.

Very welcome! One of my favorite “procrastivity” (when I’m procrastinating in a way that feels productive) projects is digging around in thebolder suggestions and blowing the dust off the ones that look most interesting!

It's currently in progress as a solo started in April, but there's no reason why you can't do it too. That's the whole "choice of voices" philosophy here.

You should gain the trademark for 'procrastivity.'

I didn’t make it up. I saw it in a book about breaking your procrastination habit, at least I saw that before I decided to put off reading the rest of the book til later.... :9:

Hi,

I would like to record:

Charley de Milo by Laurence M. Janifer

I checked the catalog and it doesn't look like anyone has started it. I also checked this thread and I dd not see any posts from anyone that said they would like to record this one. The link to gutenberg for the book is on the list in this thread.

If it is okay, I will start a new thread in the launch pad forum, but I wanted to make sure that no one has recorded this one yet. :)

Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,

I like to check too, because I'd rather record something that has not yet been recorded, but if there is a story you like or are really interested in recording, it doesn't matter if there is a version already! Go for it -- one of the core philosophies here is the "choice of voices" -- that listeners can have the option of listening to different versions of the same text if people want to make recordings.

You could check how long it is and see if it would fit in the SciFi collection - it is described as a novelette.

Thanks Anne,

Yes it looks like it might just slip under the 72 minute range. Thanks for that information.

Leigh Brackett update. All of the Leigh Brackett stories from Planet Stories that can be cleared have posted to Project Gutenberg. I've listed the ones below where I didn't find a catalog entry.
