As you might know the last of the Rosny brothers died in 1948, which means their books are public domain here in Europe. I searched online newspapers for old translations of their stories and found two, which I believe to be true gems.

I copied them to my blog at

https://historyradio.org/2019/05/08/bride-of-a-day/ (anonymous translation from 1894) Orginal source at https://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn84020631/1894-09-22/ed-1/seq-3/
and
https://historyradio.org/2019/05/08/the-may-bug-the-story-of-its-capture/ (anonymous translation from 1888) Original source at https://nebnewspapers.unl.edu/lccn/sn99021999/1888-09-30/ed-1/seq-15/

One is a little spooky, while the other is so sad it had me almost crying while I typed(Ok, it is perhaps a little too sentimental) . I am not looking for anyone to read these for my net radio station, but if you could use them in one of your short story collections, then i could show you where I found the text. I basically used the online archive for the omaha bee and the library of congress' digitized newspaper archive search. Of course, you can use the text from my site, but then link to the original source. It will save you a lot of work.
