We have very little in the LibriVox catalog about the history of South America. There are plenty of travel descriptions from Europeans and North Americans, but little about the history or heroes of South America.

Simón Bolívar (for whom Bolivia is named) was the George Washington of northern South America. He was the political and military leader that liberated Venezuela, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Panama from Spanish rule. You can read a little more about him at Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sim%C3%B3n_Bol%C3%ADvar

About 52,000 words in 21 chapters. Total of about 5.75 hours finished recording.

Serial novel: The Wandering Jew
