Street and Smith was a prolific publisher of dime novels and magazines in the late 19th and early 20th century. One of their publications was My Queen, subtitled "A Weekly Journal for Young Women". It was basically a short novel (novella really) per week, with an advice column at the end of each issue with some crazy Q & A's.
The stories appear to stand alone, all featuring the same main character, but not "to be continued" between each issue.
The advice columns might be a fun read for a short nonfiction collection.
Project Gutenberg has five issues so far, the most recent two just released today, comprising the first 5 issues of the publication. Each one has a story featuring the adventures of Marion Marlowe (sample title: "Marion Marlowe Entrapped, or The Victim of Professional Jealousy"). Not high literature, but they look like they would be fun to read! The chapters are very short, so one of our sections could probably cover 2 chapters of the stories.

All are written by "Grace Shirley", a pseudonym for the very prolific Lurana W. Sheldon (her Wikipedia entry: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lurana_W._Sheldon).
My Queen ran for 37 issues total, from September 1900-June 1901.
Internet Archive has more of the issues -- here they appear to be cataloged by the story title rather than the journal name, so they are easiest to find by searching on "Grace Shirley" or "Lurana Sheldon":

I am considering making a project of volume 1 of this series. Looks nice. I especially like the advice column.

If you do, it might be worth making sure the titles work as a series, like Harper's young people https://librivox.org/group/589?primary_key=589&search_category=group&search_page=1&search_form=get_results and the National Geographic https://librivox.org/group/438?primary_key=438&search_category=group&search_page=1&search_form=get_results and Astounding Stories https://librivox.org/group/541?primary_key=541&search_category=group&search_page=1&search_form=get_results .
It wouldn't mean you had to do them all, just that there was a plan so they would look right. I could help you set the plan up if you wanted,
Anne
PS Archive has up to number 30 PPS and a male series - how could I resist the first one I clicked on, I'll delete the image later, but I'm going to have to read it just so I know how they drove a vehicle like that on that terrain, unless it floated in a flood and someone pulled the plug .

Oh that is fabulous! What rip-roaring adventure in the wild west on a steam powered, electric, train engine-boat that roams freely (apparently) over mountain and trail. EDIT: I notice he goes across Australia first.
Anyway, I will definitely set up the Queen and many thanks for suggesting this be done as a series for easier continuation should the series be popular.
How do you think the advice column be handled? Should it be included and if so in what manner

Anne,
1. Should the Advice letters be read? I think they should but am not sure of the format; perhaps all in one section?
2. the title "My Queen: A Weekly Journal for Young Women. vol 1, issue 1" ??

I'll check it out later - I had to go out and buy a Wednesday special for my daughter - no Aldi stores in her little town , and hav another appointment soon. Yes I'd do the agony column
Need to make sure there are not more than 9 volumes , 01 might be safer than 1?
ditto with issue numbers - I'll check to see how they go when I'm back
As to the electric train boat - he also has an electric gun which fires dynamite at falling boulders and pulverises them into fine dust, thus saving all their lives -

There doesn't appear to be volumes, just issue numbers from 1-37
so
My Queen: A Weekly Journal for Young Women, issue 01
or just
My Queen: A Weekly Journal for Young Women, 01
would keep things in order
It's not really necessary but being consistent with the files names would make it possible to download all the issues and play them in order
So
myqueen01_##_author_128kb type of thing. If you like I'll see if I can work out a cover "template" that would incorporate the images - which are rather nice although rectangular
