This is the mystery author who coined the trope of "the butler did it". We have some of her books, but not the following:

The After House, a 25 chapter novel about a boy who runs away to sea adventures:

Long Live the King! A period piece of 36 chapters:

Sight Unseen, an 11 chapter novelette.
http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/1960

Where There's a Will, full novel of 30 chapters.
http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/330

There are also two short story collections of hers:
Love Stories (7 stories): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/15473
Affinities and other stories (5 stories): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/41408

And a single short story:
Locked Doors: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/54273

Books of hers we already have:
The Amazing Interlude
The Bat
The Breaking Point
The Case of Jennie Brice
The Cave on Thunder Cloud
The Circular Staircase
The Confession
Dangerous Days
K
The Man in Lower Ten
Oh, You Know How Women Are!

Hello,

I would love to read Locked Doors. I'm a noobie and I feel that a short work would be a perfect place to start.

Thank you

PLease please do the 1 minute test and maybe a part of a group project first. We want everyone to succeed , and keep recording and we know that over 90% of newbies who jump straight in do not finish it , often only managing a very short introduction if that. You may be the exception , but even world famous singers do a "sound check" in a new place. And there are a few new things to learn about uploading and how we do things here that it's nice to know about before so you can concentrate on your solo.
When you are ready , its about 18000 words which should be about 2 hours finished product , so it would be a good start.
