Wandering Feet

I just saw a reference to a book called Wandering Feet by Arthur Rhys Goring-Thomas, published 1912. This is the only source I managed to find: https://books.google.com/books?id=BO05AQAAMAAJ&source=gbs_slider_cls_metadata_7_mylibrary

And I'm not very familiar with how google books work, so I'm not sure if this link will work without a Google account.

Anyway, it seems upon cursory inspection to be set in Paris, and to be about a young girl, 17 years old, whose guardian dies at the outset of chapter 1. I wish I'd been able to find more information, but maybe this is enough to start with.

After skimming through it some more, it seems quite dark overall, with rather a sad ending. So, not really my kind of book, and I won't be doing anything further with it. But someone else may enjoy it.
