interesting stuff, very engagingly written. we are in paris on the fifth of june 1832: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/June_Rebellion
we meet a man flying wounded from the enemy barricades into paris to meet a woman he has been married to for only 24 hours, and hearing her wish him dead rather than wounded. great dialogue, the actors among us would have a field day with it.
