I've had a number of people interested in a project on JS Bach that isn't PD for people in Life+70 countries who can't record as it's not PD for them. So I've found a list of Gutenberg's offering with the keyword Music - http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/search/?query=music
- to search for an alternative project.
Please remember that both the author and the translator must have died before 1946 in order for you to be able to contribute to this project.
DANewman wrote: an English translation of the Forkel biography, which is also apparently an important work...
Rather than edit, I shall now admit this was an embarrassing understatement. It appears this book is widely regarded as the first important biography of Bach, as well as a principal factor in the initial resurgence of interest in his music.
And the good news is that it is PD for Life+70
Johann Sebastian Bach: His Life, Art, and Work by Johann Nikolaus Forkel
Any thoughts on what you'd like to read?

Good find Kim
I had a quick read over this and would be very happy to narrate this. Even the German version if it is in the catalogue. Going to have a look next week what else could fit and post.
