The broken ring; a romance
by Tompkins, Elizabeth Knight, 1865-
this is kind of a fairy tale. the princess is travelling but instead of taking the route they were supposed to travel by she insists on a detour and are captured.

hi and welcome to librivox!
im glad you like the story this is not yet a project, however, but i have suggested to make a project out of the text in the future. if there is interest, i might set it up as a group project soon, or you might read it all by yourself as a solo when you have some experience in recording
for now, here is what you need to do to get started:
1. set up audacity and complete the one minute test. this is not an audition, btu a way for us to make sure your mp3s all have the right settings and volume and these things. here are some guidelines>
http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Audacity_1-2-3
http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test
2. participate in a group project. i see you have found the poetry collection, and there are plenty of other open projects around you might like. choose one project and read a couple of sections to see how recording goes.
after getting started this way, you can choose if you want to do a solo
please let us know if you have any more questions!
