Here's another I'd love to do if I had more free time. This is a great collection of short stories for those interested in nineteenth-century speculative fiction. Brander Matthews was a Professor of Literature at Columbus University and also the first professor of drama in America. He also wrote this excellent collection of short stories in 1896, which can be found on Project Gutenberg:

(Of course, if this is picked up and made into a Group project, I'd love to volunteer for "The Kinetoscope of Time," my persona favorite of the collection. But those who know me well probably aren't surprised by this. Naturally, it would also make for a great Solo project.)
