Susan
by Oldmeadow, Ernest, b. 1867

this looks like a fun book. it is written as the diary of miss gertrude, who is in trouble: her maid susan, for four years a most reliable maid, has suddenly started messing things up. determined to get to the bottom of this, she finally sits susan down and presses the truth out of her. turns out lord ruddington of ruddington tower, a man susan has never met, asked her to marry him by letter. now what? :)
