Marty lends a hand
by Latham, Harold Strong, 1887-

martin is a sophomore in an american highschool, the eldest of five siblings in a very poor family. but he is very talented and just won the recitation contest and will therefore be the male lead in the sophomore play. however, his hopes in this regard are suddenly over when his father is injured at work and martin must assume the role of 'man in the house' and find a job. can he combine work and school, let alone his aspirations as an actor?
