Land poor, a Chicago parable
by Givins, Robert C

this is a small book of ten short chapters, the story of barnabee smith who goes with his wife and daughters to chicago to make his fortune. it goes terribly wrong, but ends well. it teaches a moral which is that investing in real estate is safer than on the stock market.

Three things in human life are important: the first is to be kind; the second is to be kind; and the third is to be kind. Henry James
