The fashion of this world
by Mathers, Helen, 1853-1920

the scan isnt great, i guess the edition was never great to begin with. but helen mathers is an interesting novelist by whom we dont have anything other than her chapter in the fate of fenella: she was an immensely popular novelist in her time and it would be cool if we could make some of her work available again :)

A man of to-day. A novel
by Mathers, Helen, 1853-1920

this is an interesting novel, romance rolled into one with social commentary. just read the first sentences about women's sunday clothes and dressmakers :)

Murder or manslaughter? A novel
by Mathers, Helen, 1853-1920

again, the scan could be better. but this looks interesting, though i know too little of everything the first chapters i read hint at to form a proper opinion.

Eyre's acquittal
by Mathers, Helen, 1853-1920

this is kind of a darker book of the dramatic love story variety. i find it interesting myself and we might have fans of that genre here.

Found out; a story
by Mathers, Helen, 1853-1920

interesting story. i like particularly the atmosphere of a grand house with probably ghosts lurking around anyway, and one shut up room in which someone died, and then throw in a forbidden love affair and you have a fine dramatic romance :)

My Jo, John;
by Mathers, Helen, 1853-1920

this starts funny, at the breakfast table of a man and his wife, and the wife just calmly proposes a divorce. it was published in 1891.
