Hall died in 1943 so she's public domain in Life + 70 countries. I've suggested it for a Legamus reading.

When I get around to it, and if nobody's done it first, I'd like to read some Edward Carpenter.

Far from one convenient list of PD works, it comprises a large number of fairly in-depth articles. To find PD works, it looks like one would have to pick a language, then era, viz (going backwards in English):

There are entries for many other languages. It's probably to much to hope that very many of these would have a PD English translation -- although I'd suspect most of the Greek and Roman stuff would.

Partially for my own memory jog to return to this, and also in case anyone else knows that someone has done this already, I think I would like to take on this book. I know it's a bit of a long one, but I'm very curious to try it, and I really appreciate the topic and approach. If it has been done and I am missing it, please let me know. Otherwise, I think I shall try to record it

http://www.gutenberg.org/files/39184/39184-h/39184-h.htm is "A complete, cumulative Checklist of lesbian, variant and homosexual fiction, in English or available in English translation, with supplements of related material, for the use of collectors, students and librarians." I might sign up to read part of it, but I'm not sure there's the demand. It lists a few pre-1923 works, and quite a few works PD in the US if someone checked the renewals.

As for LGBT content, although it's not explicit, check out chapter 13 of Louisa May Alcott's "An Old Fashioned Girl" describing the artists, "Becky" and "Bess" - not to mention authoress "Kate King".

I'm going to try to begin recording The Loom Of Youth by Alec Waugh in my free time (I don't have a lot of it, so it will take me a bit to complete it). I'm excited to be back to reading! I can't wait to get the first few chapters under my belt again so I can get back in the swing of things! Wish me luck!
